State University of Technology Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) is conducting Odd Semester 2023 in all government and private engineering, pharmacy, management, colleges. As usual, the exam started from 8th December and was scheduled to be completed by 22nd December.

But AICTE sent a letter to all universities on December 4 last, asking them to stop all university courses and exams for the finals of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) from December 19 to 23, and conduct the exams at a later date.

MAKAUT, West Bengal University Authority has sent a letter to the principals of all the approved colleges seeking their opinion on the same. The letter asked, “In reference to Smart India Hackathon 2023, views are sought for consideration of semester examinations. Exam may be Rescheduled with the Students of first and third semesters in February or March."
