"MAKAUT Again Online Exam, College will Reopen for Practical"- MAKAUT Mentor News

More Than 200 engineering and professional colleges and their students under the Westbengal University of Technology (MAKAUT) have a Unconscious Doubt on Campus Opening, Exams, Tutorials and Projects because of Long Pandemic Vacation, after Westbengal State Government Decide to Reopen College and University Campus.

Finally the Final Official Decision out from MAKAUT regarding this Doubts.

On Saturday, MAKAUT met with members of private and Government engineering colleges in the state regarding College Campus Reopen, Odd Sem Exam and Practical.

MAKAUT's Vice-Chancellor Prof. Saikat Maitra said on the day, "The odd semester test would be online. However, part of the test will be done offline." 

So that means, all the theory tests can be taken online and Practical and Tutorials can be On Campus Offline. Practical and project will be started from final year students by bringing them step by step.

 Prof. Maitra also said, "Colleges have to open hostels in compliance with the rules. The tutorials of the third and fifth semesters will be done by the students as soon as they come to the campus. This will be done in small groups according to the COVID-19 guidelines."

Final year, Fifth semester and Third semester students have to complete their tutorials and Projects by opening Campus from 16 th November, 2021.

But, the first year students not allow to visit campus, Because The Vice-Chancellor said on the day, "The admission process for the first semester is still going on. Students will not be brought to campus this semester until the process is complete."

It has been also decided that all the students, researchers and teachers of the undergraduate and postgraduate final semesters have to know whether they have taken the antidote or not  and their vaccination status (Full Vaccinated or only 1st Dose Done) all data have to collect.

For those who have not yet taken, the relevant institution/college has to make arrangements. Authorities will meet again in a month to review the situation.
